The old man and The Sea

 ‘The old man and the sea’ written by Hemingway published in 1952. In this novel protagonist Santiago was center.  Santiago as old man and his journey to 84 days. Here we see to generation gap and old man struggles to life. He was fisher man and his friend was young boy mandolin. Old man is ideal to mandolin. Old man teaches mandolin by action not by words. Hemingway gives ideas about generation gap and old man was sick at physical not mind. He goes to journey to morning at mid night.  In the novel we see that Santiago went to sea and he caught one big marlin fish. But at that time sharks came that and old man was struggle to sharks. Here we see that old man was sick and body should not work that. He was remembered his young day. How he fights them to Negro person and his life vision of that he became won.  In that time we see that Santiago dispelled to sharks at his old tools and wick them. Here we see to Hemingway dream to journey to the sea. 

“He had attained humanity, but he knew he had attained it & he knew it was not disgraceful and it carried no loss of true pride”.

  Santiago has to never want to marline fish. But at sharks attack he was save to his head. it may be that Hemingway vision and how fight to sharks as life struggle them. He was happy to life itself as reality.

                           Hemingway hope that life should be goes away. Santiago was desire and hope to life vision. But such kind of fear in their mind. Pride is Santiago’s fatal flaw. Hemingway has to life as honest to save marline fish. But he loves them. In such kind of spirits and reality to Hemingway honest of marline fish to life itself. 

At that time we see that Santiago say that “Man can be destroy but not defeat”.  He was not himself Santiago. How Hemingway gives real life experience and life struggle them.

                  

                   In novel we see that dream is very important that to connected Hemingway life. in the novel main symbols like  marlin fish, sharks, the sea, the lion, the skiff, the mask, the lost harpoon, joe DiMaggio etc.  Santiago has moral thinks and he was forget sadness that‘s why at end in his hand victory to caught marlin fish. Old man journey itself to as the sea. Because of that sea has want way every time and our life has also become sea that is never ending this life.
