News Paper as History recorder

This blog about the news paper as a history recorder a task given by Professor Dr. Dilip Barad, Head of English Department MK Bhavnagar University in which students willingly choose any interesting news from the news paper of 1972 and try to compare with present situation of the world. So, the basic idea behind this task is that how world changes through the time. 

Political news is my favorite news. I give first priority to political news in Television and in news paper. Politics effect life of people and political news make news paper popular. If we see the the headline of any news paper so we can see the political news in that front page. And through political news we can enhance our general knowledge about the world. Before some years Lalu Prasad Yadav said to media that we give you all news, you have nothing to show or write without our news. Generally, people have interest in political news because politics and government play vital role in changing the scenario of the society.

Here, I have chosen some old news papers of 1972. In the first one in which we see the relation of America, Japan and China.

 We know that the triangle relation of Japan, China and America are one of the most important triangle relationship in world. They are economically very powerful and also dominant countries. China hadn't liked that America and Russia interfere in East Asia in the time of Cold war phase that is why China asked Japan for help to stop America and Russia to invade  East Asia economically and politically. So, here we can say that from the decades how powerful countries like America and USSR keep on dominate Asian countries like middle east. If we see in the present era then we can find similar kind situation among America and Asian countries. Today, America change the form of invading, now they control economy through companies and we know that China and Japan also very powerful countries in making things in international market. These three countries also have some kind of challenges among each other but because of globalization situation is changing now. They economically interdependent, though they compete with each other in the present era like in 1972. Japan and China has succeed to stop America and Russia in East Asia because China and Japan aware about domination of western countries but Middle East failure to stop America because these countries are not much powerful like Japan and China. So, we can see in the below given photo that how middle East countries are suffering from military invading by America.

Second one is about the Indian politics. This cartoon image about Indira Gandhi's popularity and power in Congress party. In 1972, she believed herself everything.

We all know that how Indian politics plays role in shaping Indian norms and Society. In 1972, Indira Gandhi was prime minister of India, we aware about the history of Indira that how she was popular in Indian Politics. In the present time people call her as Iron lady of India. She was taking her own decision and policy regarding India. So , we can connect her to Narendra Modi, present prime minister of India.

So, through this cartoon we can say that how Narendra Modi repeat history of Indira Gandhi in popular politician and taking his own decision in the party. People making him as God and Savior of India like Indira Gandhi. Both have many similarities in thier political life. In 1972 people were crazy on Indira Gandhi and in present era after 2014 people crazy on Narendra Modi. 

So, at last I can connect these both with Hitler's dictatorship and also Both have much popularity in politics. Indira and Hitler also were great nationalist and Modi also a popular nationalist and become popular like Indira and Hitler. So, here we can say that Indian people do not learn from history that how it dangerous for nation to make one person as everything. Indian people do not look at ideology and development by any political party but they look at particular face.
